Under
a multi-million dollar blanket purchase agreement,
Progressive Network Solutions provides a variety
of IT consulting services to the Department
of Defense. PNS is currently engaged in a
large-scale telecommunications infrastructure
build-out project for the Counterintelligence
Field Activity (CIFA) organization.

Department of Transportation (FHWA)
Progressive Network Solutions
provides a variety of services to the Federal
Highway Administration. Senior Information Assurance
Analysts ensure that the IT Infrastructure and
its various components adhere to mandated security
requirements and are able to maintain formal
Certification and Accreditation status. CISSP
certified security engineers ensure a strong
security posture by performing ongoing identification
and remediation of system vulnerabilities.
Progressive Network Solutions also plays a key
role in Federal Highway efforts to migrate to
the “One DOT” platform which will
consolidate E-mail and File & Print Services
for all of the Department of Transportation
organizations into a single environment. Microsoft
Certified system architects and E-mail migration
engineers helped design the underlying infrastructure
and utilize best practices and industry leading
migration tools to ensure a smooth transition.
PNS is also responsible for ensuring 24x7 availability
of hundreds of servers that comprise the Federal
Highway nationwide IT infrastructure. |

Department of Transportation (NHTSA)
Progressive Network Solutions
provided the National Highway Safety Administration
(NHTSA) with consulting expertise to undertake
a comprehensive e-mail migration project from
GroupWise 6 to Exchange 2000. PNS worked extensively
with Microsoft Consulting Services and with
3rd party e-mail migration software vendors
to ensure project success. In addition to providing
engineering expertise, Progressive Network Solutions
played a critical role in guiding the overall
migration effort and facilitating communication
between the migration team, helpdesk, design
engineers, the user community, and upper management.

Department of the Interior (BLM) The
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) utilized Progressive
Network Solutions to meet their Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) requirements for creating a
formal Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
process and also for creating several Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals regarding
guidelines for maintaining a high level of security
and how to respond to security breaches. PNS
also conducted penetration testing and a comprehensive
review of the existing environment to identify
and eliminate vulnerabilities.

Department
of Health and Human Services
The Department of
Health and Human Services utilized Progressive
Network Solutions to provide architectural design
engineering services in a large-scale IT consolidation
project. Senior Active Directory and Microsoft
Exchange Server architects assisted in building
an underlying IT framework to allow for an efficient
and non-disruptive migration of thousands of users
from the existing environment to the consolidated
target environment. |

Department of Labor (ETA) PNS
enabled the Employment and Training Administration
(ETA) division of the Department of Labor to
complete a large-scale migration project. This
migration project included the design and implementation
of a Windows 2000 Active Directory Forest to
replace the legacy file and print services residing
on Novell NDS servers. Once the Windows 2000
Active Directory infrastructure was in place,
a meticulous process was conducted to move all
existing user data to the Windows 2000 File
servers and to create printers in Active Directory.
The migration process also involved moving the
GroupWise 5.5 user community to Exchange 2000.

Citibank
Citibank engaged
Progressive Network Solutions to ensure the
security and stability of their high-profile
financial systems and IT networks and to provide
guidance on future security requirements. PNS
maintained the existing network infrastructure
including switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion
detection systems, and Traffic Application Management
hardware (Big IP and 3DNS), performed network
penetration testing to ensure vulnerabilities
were identified and eliminated, and conducted
extensive technical evaluation of best-in-breed
“Early Warning Protection” and “Real-Time
Threat Analysis” products. |

PNS provided a variety
of services to VeriSign, including Network and
Internet security engineering and design, Virtual
Private Network (VPN) implementation and support,
project management, and database administration.

of our expertise in the areas of routers, firewalls,
load balancing, VPN, Windows 2000 Active Directory
and Oracle database administration.

Red Cross PNS performed
a variety of large-scale projects benefiting
the entire American Red Cross organization including
the design of a centralized, scalable, and fault
tolerant web-based e-mail access infrastructure,
implementation and deployment of virus defense
software for hundreds of Microsoft Exchange
servers, and a turnkey solution for supporting
the American Red Cross mobile computing environment.

Marriott outsourced a
portion of their Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000
engineering project to Progressive Network Solutions.
PNS helped Marriott plan for and implement a
cost-effective, timely, and smooth migration
process from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000.
PNS created a detailed project plan and work
breakdown structure (WBS) identifying level
of effort, timelines, and specific steps and
tools required to complete the migration project
within the strict timeframe and budgetary limitations.

e-mail migration from Microsoft Mail to Microsoft
